At the Youth Interventions HUB, young people from across our community can come to access their own after school adolescent youth drop in and youth club. This is their “wee hoose” where they have a safe space to build positive peer relationships, hang out without fear of being moved on or getting into trouble, and learn the value of positive social interactions.
It’s a space that’s a result of co-production. After working across many schools in Renfrewshire we identified a group of young people who were activists for change! We met every week, listened to what their needs were, and packaged them all up to present to our funders.
The space is open Monday to Friday, and is an open space to hang on a Tuesday from 6pm-9.30pm.
