The Youth Interventions team are experts in working with teenagers who are suffering from emotional/mental health problems.
Emotional distress can present itself in many different ways, such as misusing drink or drugs, isolating and feeling constantly down, self harming, forming harmful attachments/relationships, gambling, under or over eating among others.
Our role is to help young people navigate their way through this, with tools to manage overwhelming emotions and strategies for changing the behaviours that cause them more harm.
Our practitioners have a huge amount of first hand experience in working with young people who are dealing with a lot of the stuff that being young can bring. There's a reason that this time of life is called Storm and Stress.
We work collaboratively with young people in a sensitive, relational and effective way, creating their own person centered recovery plan.
We can't change what has happened in a young person's life, but we can work alongside them to ensure it does not determine the rest of their life.
